For those whose lives have given them more than enough.
If you have been fortunate — in family, in earnings, in inheritance, in time — there comes a point when the question shifts. Not how much more can I gather, but what is this for?
Founding membership is one answer. Your resource becomes another family's threshold crossed. Your good fortune becomes the village's hearth. The work you sustain reaches a child who otherwise would not have been reached, an elder who otherwise would not have been heard.
This is what privilege is for, when it is well-used: to make room for others at the same circle you yourself enjoy.
