IINIVIDUAL SESSION WORK

Meet Our Clinicians

Therapy here is a collaborative, deeply human process — a meeting of expertise and presence.

Each clinician at A Human Sanctuary brings their own lineage of training, their own lived experience, and their own way of accompanying another person through the territory of healing. What we share is a conviction that healing begins in authentic connection — and that the people we work with are not problems to be solved, but whole humans being met in the fullness of what they carry and the possibility of what wants to emerge.

We integrate evidence-based psychotherapy with somatic, relational, and nature-informed perspectives that honor the interconnectedness of mind, body, spirit, and the larger living world. Our work is rooted in trauma-informed care, nervous system awareness, and a long view of human becoming.

Founder · Somatic Psychotherapist · Clinical Supervisor · Course Creator & Workshop Facilitator

Julie Anne is the Founder of A Human Sanctuary and clinical supervisor for our associate therapists. A Somatic Experiencing Practitioner certified in Expressive Arts and Ecotherapy, with more than ten years of experience using EMDR, she blends the science of the nervous system, the creativity of the arts, and the wisdom of nature to guide people back into their inherent wholeness and resiliency.

SPECIALIZATIONS

Adults and children with complex and developmental trauma; chronic illness and somatic symptoms; medical trauma and near-death experiences. Working with those seeking to recover nervous system regulation and build inner resiliency, held through a decolonizing and depathologizing lens.

ORIENTATION TO HEALING

Earth connection, empowerment, bridging scientific understanding with ancestral and primal wisdom, midwifing the liminal spaces between life and death, weaving together dissociative parts and soul fragmentation.

Megan Zuzevich

LMFT

Co-Founder · Clinical Supervisor · Director of Operations

Megan brings an integrative, trauma-informed approach to psychotherapy, drawing on EMDR alongside the metabolic, environmental, and biological foundations of mental health. In her work, symptoms are understood as signals — invitations to listen more deeply to the body, the nervous system, and the conditions of a life. Healing is approached as restoration rather than management.

SPECIALIZATIONS

Adults navigating trauma at the root, nervous system dysregulation, and the integration of body, mind, and environment. Working with those seeking to depathologize their experience and rebuild from underlying foundations.

ORIENTATION TO HEALING

Integrative and trauma-informed; EMDR alongside metabolic, environmental, and biological foundations of mental health.

Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?

 MARY OLIVER

I provide a warm and accepting space where you may unpack and explore complicated feelings, celebrate growth, and stay present with what is unfolding in your life. Central to my practice is connecting with our innate capacity for compassion, humor, and wisdom — a safe ground from which you may be honestly, courageously, steadily present with what has brought you to sessions, as well as what emerges once here.

I bring a creative, flexible skill set from more than twenty-five years of working with children, adults, seniors, and families in a variety of settings, including as a hospice social worker. It is an honor to do this work, and I look forward to supporting and encouraging you on your unique healing journey.

We’re all just walking each other home.
