The Bone Woman Studio
Ancestral Provisions
for Uncertain Times
This is an invitation for facilitators and guides. The Bone Woman Studio is the way we intend to continue our commitment to deep adaptation on the mountain through the cold winter months. For those unfamiliar, deep adaptation is a framework for preparing for and responding to the societal impacts of climate change and planetary boundary violations, emphasizing the personal and collective changes that reduce suffering and foster resilience in the face of crises.

What is Bone Woman Studio?

THE SHAPE OF IT
Most gatherings run 60 to 90 minutes, with time to arrive and time to close. We have reserved Sunday and Monday evenings through the fall and winter.

WHO GATHERS
8 to 16 people — adults, families, and anyone in Idyllwild.

WHAT WE TEND
The space, the chairs, the tea. We hold scheduling, announce your gathering to our community, and set the room before you arrive.

DONATION BASIS · OFFERED ON TRUST
These gatherings are offered on a donation basis, so no one is turned away for cost; where a session needs materials, we name that supply cost plainly up front. Donations go to you, the facilitator. We ask that you choose an amount to contribute to A Human Sanctuary that feels accurate to you, to support our being able to continue this community learning sanctuary.

Wisdom flows in every direction
Five roles. One living circle. Children explore and discover. Youth step into mentorship. Elders share practical wisdom. Every generation gives and receives something they couldn't find alone.

A Human Sanctuary gathers on the unceded ancestral homelands of the Qawishpa Cahuillangnah — the Cahuilla Band of Indians
— and we acknowledge all nine sovereign Cahuilla Bands, past, present and emerging.
